Longshore Women's Golf Wraps Up Member-Guest Tournament

Longshore Women's Golf Association (LWGA) held their 53nd Annual Member-Guest Golf Tournament and Luncheon on July 9. The theme was "Sunken Treasure” and was chaired by Topsy Siderowf, according to media contact Regina Masterson. The day started with a delicious breakfast prepared by the members before the 8 a.m. shotgun start. The format was the Best Ball, Gross and Net for the foursome.

The repeat winners for Best Gross scores were the team made up of Leela Narang-Benaderet, Jean Ryan, Susan Hess and Meredith Zengo with a Gross score of 69. Second Gross went to the team of  Barbara Karis-Downey, Lisa Holzworth, Sela Esposito and Pat Sherry with a score of 74.

The winners for Low Net with a 52 (match of cards) were Donna Borrelli, Pat Kimball, Regina Masterson and Jane Robitaille. Second place with a score of 52 was the team of Connie Galley, Fausta Marino, Irene Judge and Sharon Nightingale. The team of Johanna Swartley, Judy Tappert, Alison Tane and Rhonda Burnham had a score of 54 and the team of Daisy Fischtrom, ,Pat Kerch, Barbara Fucigna and Lori Lohstoeter had a score of 55.

All the individuals on the winning teams were given monogrammed silver necklaces.

LWGA's Tee Sponsors support made this Member Guest very special, according to Masterson. A delicious lunch was served at Splash.  The Member-Guest is an annual event of the LWGA and is looked forward to by the membership.
