Man Charged with Leaving the Scene of an Accident
The vehicle driven by a 41-year-old man had front-end damage and was stopped by Redding Police, according to police in Westport.

A man accused of leaving the scene of an accident Friday on Easton Road was later stopped by police in Redding and arrested, according to the Westport News, which cited a Westport police report.
According to the Westport News, police gave this account (an accusation not proven in court) of the matter:
At 12:30 p.m. Friday, the traffic accident was reported to police, who arrived at the scene but found the vehicle had left. Soon afterward, police in Redding contacted the Westport Police Department to say they had stopped a vehicle with front-end damage.

Westport police went to Redding and found that the vehicle, driven by Jonathan Rully, 41, of Branford was the one they were looking for.
Rully, of Pheasant Lane in Branford, was charged with evading responsibility for a motor vehicle accident, following too close and driving without a license. He later posted $1,000 bond and is scheduled to ppear March 16 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
