The following release is from the Westport Department of Human Services:
WESTPORT, CT — The Department of Human Services is seeking middle and high school students interested in helping seniors with outdoor yardwork this spring and summer. The “We Do Walkways” Program is a community-based program offering seniors and students an opportunity for connection and mutual support. Students can earn a little extra money while helping a local senior citizen. Seniors are encouraged to pay $15.00 per hour (minimum wage) for the student's labor and must limit the chores to outdoors.
Students must complete an enrollment form and receive parental permission to participate. Contact Westport's Department of Human Services at 203-341-1050 or email humansrv@westportct.gov with questions.
