New, Bigger State DOT Maintenance Garage Planned For Westport: Report

WESTPORT, CT — The Connecticut Department of Transportation is planning to significantly expand the size of its maintenance facility at 900 Post Road East in Westport, The Hour reported.

Officials plan to build a 23,000-square-foot maintenance facility building with larger bays for plow trucks and other vehicles, solar panels on the roof, and new, modern administrative offices, among other improvements.

The new building will be roughly three-times the size of the current facility. Construction is reportedly expected to begin this year, with completion by the fall of 2026.
