New York Woman Accused Of Stealing $1,100 Worth Of Clothing From Westport Store: Police
The incident occurred this week on Main Street in downtown Westport, according to authorities.

WESTPORT, CT — A 24-year-old Yonkers, New York woman was arrested on a fourth-degree larceny charge this week, after Westport police said she stole more than $1,100 worth of clothing from the Lululemon store on Main Street in downtown Westport.
Jenai Crawford was taken into custody on Tuesday afternoon, after employees alerted police to the theft.
"Store employees reported that a female had begun filling a bag with merchandise that she had made no attempts to pay for," wrote Westport Police Lt. Anthony Prezioso in a statement. "On officers’ arrival, the suspect, identified as Jenai Crawford, was still inside the store and was detained. She was found to be in possession of multiple bags designed to defeat security measures, as well as approximately $1,122.00 worth of what was reported to be stolen merchandise."

Crawford was released after posting a $1,500 bond, and is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on Aug. 29.
