Original Pancake House Closes In Westport

WESTPORT, CT — The Original Pancake House, which opened a Westport location in early 2023, recently closed the spot.

"We regret to announce the shutdown of our Connecticut branch," restaurant officials wrote on Facebook on Monday. "We appreciate the support from our dedicated customers throughout the years."

Officials did not disclose a specific reason for the closure.

The Westport restaurant was the chain's only Connecticut location; the Washington State-based chain's only other Northeast restaurant is in White Plains, New York. It served specialty pancakes, waffles, French toast and other breakfast items throughout the day.

When the Westport restaurant opened, the East Coast regional manager told Patch that Westport appealed to the chain, in part because of its waterfront location along the Saugatuck River, and the foot traffic that the Main Street shopping district generates.
