Portion of Sidewalk Temporarily Closed On Compo Road South In Westport

Bridge and sewer construction is scheduled to begin on Monday and last a month.

Information from the Town of Westport:

WESTPORT, CT — The Public Works Department announced today that due to Railroad Bridge maintenance and a sanitary sewer force main replacement, the sidewalk on Compo Road South from its intersection at Elaine Road, south to the intersection of Vani Court (a distance of 430 linear feet) will be temporarily closed beginning on November 11. Advanced signage and notices will be in place. It is anticipated that the closure will be in effect through December 11, 2024, weather permitting.

Drivers, bicyclists and pedestrians are urged to use extra caution in this area.
