Public Hearing Scheduled In Westport On Amendment To Coastal Area Management Regulations

The public hearing, held by the Planning and Zoning Commission, will take place remotely using Zoom.

News release from the Town of Westport:

WESTPORT, CT — Planning & Zoning Deputy Director Amanda Trianovich has announced that at 6:00pm on December 8, 2025, the Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing to review Text Amendment #858 of the Zoning Regulations. This amendment proposes modifications to the Coastal Area Management regulations to bring them into conformance with Public Act 25-33. Specifically, new single-family dwellings within the Coastal Area Management boundary would no longer be exempt from Coastal Site Plan review under any circumstances.

The December 8, 2025 public hearing will be held remotely using Zoom, it will be live streamed on the Town’s website at www.westportct.gov, and/or will be accessible on Optimum Government Access Channel 79. The remote meeting link is published on the meeting agenda available on the Town’s website on the “Meeting List and Calendar” web page.

Written comments may be submitted and should be sent to PandZ@westportct.gov by 12:00pm on the day of the meeting if intended to be distributed for consideration by members of the Planning and Zoning Commission. Written comments received after 12:00pm on the day of the meeting will be added to the record but not be distributed until the next business day.
