Riko's Pizza Announces Plan To Open Restaurant In Westport
The popular pizzeria specializes in hot oil, thin crust tavern-style pies.

WESTPORT, CT — Following up on its "coming soon" teaser in the spring, Riko's Pizza made it official this week by announcing it will open its new location in Westport in either the fourth quarter of this year, or in early 2025.
The Westport location will be at 60 Charles St., just down the hill from Exit 17 on I-95 and directly opposite the Westport Metro North train station and Luciano Park. It is being launched with a new franchisee group, and is being built in a large stand-alone property, that previously held Mystic Market and the Arrow Restaurant, among others.
Once completed, the new Riko's of Westport will feature a 2,400-square-foot restaurant
with an open-concept design, 27 tables, a 38-foot-long bar with 18 stools, and 20 televisions.

In addition to its signature hot oil, thin-crust pizzas, Riko's also serves wings, salads, desserts and cocktails.
"Westport is not only one of the most dynamic markets in Connecticut, but one of the top suburban markets for restaurant operators anywhere in the country," said Rico Imbrogno, co-founder and CEO of Riko's Pizza, in a statement. "This new location is going to be awesome. High
ceilings, a huge bar, dozens of tables with enough seating for 140 guests, and the classic Riko's décor mixed with large TVs from wall to wall. Westport simply does not have anything like Riko's Pizza, and we are so excited to bring our delicious tavern-style pizza and 'neighborhood joint' atmosphere even closer to the town's vibrant residents who have come to love our brand through our other locations in Fairfield County."

The Westport spot is one of two new restaurants the chain is launching in the coming months, the other being a second Norwalk location at 85 New Canaan Ave.; Riko's first Norwalk site, which is takeout only, is at 247 Connecticut Ave., and that site will close in favor of the New Canaan Avenue location.
Riko's was founded in 2011, and has a location in Fairfield, a couple in Stamford, and one in Darien, in addition to new spots in Norwalk and Westport.
The chain also has restaurants in New York, Massachusetts and Florida, with plans to open in North Carolina and Vermont.
