Rio Bravo Closes Westport Location

WESTPORT, CT — Rio Bravo, a popular Mexican restaurant on the Post Road East in Westport, has closed, its owners announced this month on Facebook.

The restaurant, which still has locations in Norwalk and Fairfield, opened in 2015, coincidentally next to an Italian restaurant named Bravo.

"It is with heavy hearts that we announce that our Westport location is now permanently closed," the owners wrote. "We would like to say thank you to all of our customers for constant support over the years."

Whether the coronavirus pandemic, or another reason, led to the closure of the restaurant was not disclosed.
