UPDATE: Work Continues on Post Rd Sewer Main Break; Delays for Post Road Traffic

Work will go on overnight with morning rush-hour delays; police are ask drivers to avoid the Post Road in that spot: some alternate routes.

Update, 9:31 p.m.:

Police say construction work will likely continue through the night to repair a sewer main that collapsed under the Post Road near 468 Post Rd. East, according to the Westport News.

Traffic has been constricted to one lane in each direction as the work goes on, and that may mean traffic delays during rush hour Friday morning, police indicated, since the road is not expected to be fully open until mid-afternoon Friday, according to the newspaper.
