Special Weather Statement Issued For Southern Connecticut
The National Weather Service just posted a Special Weather Statement for tonight. Here are the new details on what to expect.

If you have to travel tonight it will be important to proceed with caution as dense fog and more rain will greatly reduce your visibility. The National Weather Service has issued a "Special Weather Statement" for Fairfield, New Haven, Middlesex, and New London counties.
In the recently posted advisory, the National Weather Service says, "Areas of fog is expected through the evening hours across the Tri-State. While visibilities vary greatly, most locations remain one mile or less. There will be areas with visibilities locally down to one-quarter mile or less at times. Allow plenty of time to reach your destination and be prepared for suddenly reduced visibilities. If you encounter fog reduce speed and use low beam headlights."
The weather service also said, "Locally heavy rain may produce areas of minor urban and poor drainage flooding today. In addition, areas of dense fog may develop late this afternoon and evening, reducing visibilities to less than a quarter mile at times."
