Information from Staples Tuition Grants Program:
WESTPORT, CT — The inaugural Kids FUN RUN to benefit Staples Tuition Grants (STG) will be held on Saturday, April 6, from 8 am – 10 am at the Staples High School football field. This fun family event for kids in Pre-K through Grade 5 will feature games, face painting, a bake sale and a kids run to raise money and awareness for STG, which provides need-based tuition assistance to Staples High School graduates attending college and vocational programs. Since 1943, STG has helped thousands of Staples graduates attain their educational and career dreams.
Event organizer, Staples High School junior Alexis Krenzer, noted the importance of engaging the Westport community in supporting fellow students. “I am so excited to have the opportunity to organize this event. Staples Tuition Grants is such a great cause. STG has the belief that any kid that makes it through Staples and gets in to college should be able to go. Staples students work so hard. We are calling on the community to support these kids and see their education through.”

Since 1943, Staples Tuition Grants has helped thousands of Staples High School graduates achieve their dreams by providing need-based grants for undergraduate and vocational school. In May 2023, STG awarded $407,000 to 116 students, in grants ranging from $1,000 to $7,500, attending 79 institutions of higher learning for 2023-24 school year.
