The staff at Sunny Daes on Riverside Avenue have been working all night -- literally -- to bring the freshest ice cream, gelato, sorbet, and frozen yogurt to Westport.
The owner -- who wished to remain identified just as such -- began making batches ice cream and other treats at 3 a.m. Wednesday.
It's necessary work as business picks up for summer.
"It's very busy," employee Nouri said.
Most of the hard ice cream flavors are popular, but bestsellers include cookies & creme, moose tracks, bubblegum, cotton candy, and classic chocolate and vanilla.
For gelato, the cotton candy, mint, and coconut are especially popular. Watermelon and lemon sorbets are in high demand for Westport customers.
