Tow Truck Struck By Another Vehicle While Responding To Crash In Westport: Fire Officials
The crashes occurred early Sunday, according to authorities.
WESTPORT, CT — An SUV plowed into a tow truck early Sunday morning in Westport while the tow truck was responding to another crash, according to Westport fire officials.
"Fortunately, all occupants from both the SUV and the tow truck were able to exit their vehicles, and no serious injuries were reported at the scene," fire officials wrote on Facebook.
The SUV struck the tow truck at a high rate of speed, according to fire officials, "causing significant damage to both vehicles."

Westport firefighters were already at the scene providing protection for the first single-vehicle crash when the SUV struck the tow truck, only a few feet from the fire truck, fire officials said.
