WESTPORT, CT — Westport resident Brian Myers, 29, who was arrested by Westport police in June on a charge of third-degree possession of child pornography, recently had that charge upgraded, according to Westport police.

Myers was arrested last week on a charge of first-degree possession of child pornography, as new information was discovered by authorities.

"Following the initial arrest of Mr. Myers on June 25, 2024, for Possession of Child Pornography 3rd, a thorough investigation ensued, and evidence was developed to support the charge of Possession of Child Support 1st because of the number of images he possessed," wrote Westport Police Lt. Eric Woods in a statement.
