Wanted Norwalk Man Allegedly Caught Drinking While Driving in Westport
Westport police located an open bottle of Corona Light in the man's vehicle.

A Westport police officer observed Michael Walker, 40, of Norwalk, operating a vehicle on Saugatuck Avenue with no front registration plate on April 9.
Once stopped, police found that the registration plate on the rear did not belong on the vehicle because there was no record found for it, according to the police report. While speaking with Walker, an open bottle of Corona Light was observed on the floor in front of the passenger seat of the vehicle, according to police. The bottle was approximately one third empty of its contents and was beginning to drip its contents on to a plastic drink cup lid which was also on the floor of the vehicle, police indicated.
In speaking with Walker, the officer detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath. Based on his observations, Walker did not appear to be substantially impaired, but had clearly been consuming alcohol. Walker was then found to have a warrant for failure to appear for several motor vehicle charges. He was taken into custody and transported to where he was charged with failure to appear, drinking while operating a motor vehicle and several motor vehicle charges. He was later released after posting bond, which totaled $3,500. His court date is for April 19 at Norwalk Superior Court.
