Westoberfest This Weekend In Downtown Westport; Traffic Advisory Issued

More than 50 local and regional beers will be showcased at the event.

WESTPORT, CT — Westoberfest, the Westport Downtown Association's Craft Beer & Family Fall Festival, is scheduled for noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4, in downtown Westport, according to organizers.

"Westoberfest Craft Beer and Fall Festival returns on Saturday, October 4, from 12 to 6 PM for the eighth year, promising a day of craft beer delights, live music, and community camaraderie in the heart of downtown Westport," organizers wrote in a statement. "Beer enthusiasts can indulge in a diverse selection of over 50 local and regional beers. From crisp lagers and bold IPAs to rich stouts and refreshing non-alcoholic drinks, there’s something to please every palate at this year’s event."

The Tasting Tent will be open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., where adults will be able to sample the beers.

A traffic advisory has been issued by the Westport Police Department for the event.

"Portions of the downtown area will be closed to traffic to accommodate the event including Elm Street, Church Lane, and southbound traffic on Main Street from 12:00pm to 6:00pm," authorities said.
