Westport Domestic Violence Task Force Seeks Donations Of Household Goods
The donations are for clients of the Domestic Violence Crisis Center's two safehouses.
WESTPORT, CT — Through July 29, the Westport Domestic Violence Task Force will be collecting donations of household items for clients of the Domestic Violence Crisis Center’s two safe houses, according to the task force.
The supplies will be used to create "move-in baskets," which are an essential part of the process that helps the clients transition from the safe houses into apartments. The Domestic Violence Crisis Center supports individuals on their journey to safety. DVCC advocates for individuals who are experiencing abuse in personal relationships.
"These baskets allow the recipients to start their new chapter on the right foot," said Westport Police Capt. Jillian Cabana, Chair of the Westport Domestic Violence Task Force.
