Westport Makes Decision On Downtown Parking Limit: Report
The decision applies to five streets in downtown Westport.
WESTPORT, CT — The Westport Board of Selectwomen Wednesday voted to limit parking on several downtown streets to two hours, the Connecticut Post reported.
The move was recommended by the town's Downtown Plan Implementation Committee, based on data from a third-party consulting firm.
Five roads in the downtown area, Bay, Elm and Main streets, Jesup Road and Church Lane.

Downtown parking lots have several three-hour spaces, but several retailers and restaurateurs in the area argued that limiting street parking to two hours could hurt businesses.
