Westport Man Missing After New York Hiking Trip: NY State Police
Thomas Howard, 61, of Westport was reported missing on Wednesday after he didn't return from a hiking trip in upstate New York.

WESTPORT, CT — A Westport resident has been reported missing after he didn't return from a hiking trip in upstate New York, state police said.
Thomas A. Howard, 61, of Westport went hiking on Mt. Colden in North Elba, New York, on March 11. He was reported missing on Wednesday (March 16) after he didn't return from his trip, New York state police said.
His last known location was at the Marcy Dam lean-to, state police said. He was last known to be wearing a long red jacket, gray boots and snow shoes.

Howard is described as a 6-foot-1 man who weighs 170 pounds and has gray hair.
