Westport Police To Host Child Car Seat Safety Inspection Event

WESTPORT, CT — The Westport Police Department will host Car Seat Inspection Day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Police Headquarters, 50 Jesup Road in Westport, on April 3, according to officials.

According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, nearly three-quarters of child car seats are not installed properly, placing children at risk.

The free April 3 event, in collaboration with Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital, will feature inspections by a certified child passenger safety technician.
