Westport Public Schools Prepares For Potential ICE Raids
"Our priority remains providing a safe learning environment for every student." — Superintendent of Schools Thomas Scarice
WESTPORT, CT — The district does not anticipate such an event, if agents from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement were to visit one of Westport's public schools, they would not be allowed inside a school without a warrant or consent from school officials.
Superintendent of Schools Thomas Scarice on Monday sent out a brief message to parents reiterating the district's stance on the potential of ICE raids at one of its schools.
"Our priority remains providing a safe learning environment for every student," Scarice said.

Scarice pointed parents to a district webpage that discusses guidelines from legal counsel in the event of an ICE raid.
