Westport Recognizes April As Sexual Assault Awareness Month
The Rowan Center will host a Proclamation Day event on Tuesday morning.
WESTPORT, CT —The Rowan Center, in partnership with the Town of Westport, will host Proclamation Day 2025 at Westport Town Hall to officially recognize April as Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM).
The event will take place on Tuesday, April 8th, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Westport Town Hall, 110 Myrtle Avenue, Westport, CT.

This important community gathering will highlight ongoing efforts to support survivors of sexual violence and raise awareness about prevention and response initiatives in Lower Fairfield County. During the event, First Selectwoman Tooker will issue a formal proclamation recognizing April as Sexual Assault Awareness Month in Westport.
