Westport's Wakeman Town Farm Hosts Nigerian Dwarf Goats This Summer

WESTPORT, CT — Earth Animal continues to expand its partnership with Wakeman Town Farm and is sponsoring the Summer Goat Program for the Farm’s Nigerian Dwarf goats.

The sponsorship provides the goats with food, bedding, animal care, veterinary needs, pen maintenance and other requirements that keep them healthy and happy as well as teaching goat classes that are available at the Farm.

Wakeman Town Farm’s goat husbandry program includes 30-minute private feeding and socialization sessions featuring its Bottle-Feed the Kids class for a goat-feeding experience to bottle feed, cuddle and play with the four adorable goats.

“Wakeman Town Farm is truly a Westport gem and we love seeing the impact the goat program is making on children and families,” said Merritt Goldstein of the Goldstein family that owns and created Earth Animal. “The ability to interact with a goat through hands-on learning activities provides a memorable experience to build connections with animals.”

Earth Animal recently funded the building of the new animal barn at Wakeman Town Farm that serves as an additional animal shelter, feed storage and veterinary care space.

Partnerships with organizations like Earth Animal allows the Farm to remain as a wonderful community place to gather and grow.”
