99 Restaurant & Pub Opens to Praise of Diners of All Ages
Foodies from Ridgefield, Wilton, Danbury and beyond enjoyed food and fun at 99 Restaurant & Pub's Grand Opening on Thursday.
Danbury, CT — Ninety-Nine Restaurant & Pub had much more than 99 satisfied guests at their Grand Opening Thursday night in Danbury.
The place was all smiles as excited patrons and staff enjoyed music from "Fred" the restaurant's traveling musician, sipped on signature drinks and of course devoured plate after plate of delicious and delectable fare prepared by their experienced chefs.
General Manager Joe Moir, an 11-year employee, greeted guests as servers explained the 99 concept to their new customers. The restaurant raffled off chances to win free gift certificates each half hour while hungry customers eagerly awaited their selections.

Patty Pennell and her daughter Cindy, both of Danbury, described their dinner as "delicious and abundant."
"They have great service here. All the of wait staff are very competent and served us with a smile," Patty said.
Bethel resident Kathy Koch said she is "already addicted" to the Bubble Green Tea as she dined with family and friends.
Our family enjoyed a wide variety of delicious entrees. We started with the Wings and Potato Skin Sampler ($10.99) and my son ordered a bowl of Seafood Chowder ($4.29) which he said was "really good" and certainly filling. I sipped a "Razzletini," also known as a frozen martini, while my kids each enjoyed frozen lemonade. The hubs stuck with his good old standby— beer.

For dinner I tried the Crispy Fish Tacos which come served with a side of brown rice sour cream and guacamole ($9.99). My husband followed my lead and ordered Fish and Chips, made with scrod and served with a side of crunchy coleslaw ($11.49).
Apple Barbecue Ribs & Tenders ($13.79) were "what's for dinner" for my son who couldn't finish, although he said it was "SO good," but wanted to save room for dessert.
My 16-year-old daughter said her Steak Tips & Chicken Tenders ($12.99) were delicious and even better than the "other" chain restaurant known for their steak. She gave the restaurant "5 stars."
We couldn't believe we were actually going to do it but we couldn't resist the dessert selection. We ordered two to share. The Chocolate Truffle Pie ($4.29) was served atop a beautiful drizzle of raspberry sauce which was melt-in-your mouth Mmmm good. The kids split the Midnight Fudge Cake ($5.00) which came served in a "fancy" martini-style glass and was equally delicious.
Our server Jordan was friendly and attentive. For a family of four the bill came to $98.04. For appetizers, drinks, dinner and desserts we agreed this was definitely a place we'd like to come back to.
Founded by Charlie Doe, the restaurant is family-style, warm and welcoming. With flat screen TVs just about everywhere, the sports fan in your life will happily agree. If all this seems too rich for those who are health conscious, there is a Vegan and Gluten Free menu as well.
The food is served in a "distinctly hearty New England style, enjoyed over good times with great family and friends— simple, honest, genuine food, never pretentious and always satisfying," their website states.
