Boucher Apologizes to Malloy for Comments

Boucher had said that Malloy had a "personal interest" in decriminalizing marijuana laws because the governor's son had been arrested for possession.

As of yesterday, State Senator Toni Boucher (R-26) has apologized to Gov. Dannel Malloy for her remarks regarding his motives for decriminalizing marijuana, the Hartford Courant reports.

In  earier this week, Boucher said she thought Malloy favored decriminalization because of his son's previous drug arrests.

The Courant reported that "Boucher sent a handwritten note of apology to the Governor and considers the matter resolved, said her aide, Jodi Latina."

The comments came just a few days before the House marijuana posesssion of less than 16 oz.
