As of yesterday, State Senator Toni Boucher (R-26) has apologized to Gov. Dannel Malloy for her remarks regarding his motives for decriminalizing marijuana, <a href="http://blogs.courant.com/capitol_watch/2011/06/sen-boucher-apologizes-for-que.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">the Hartford Courant report</a>s. In  earier this week, Boucher said she thought Malloy favored decriminalization because of his son's previous drug arrests. The Courant reported that "Boucher sent a handwritten note of apology to the Governor and considers the matter resolved, said her aide, Jodi Latina." The comments came just a few days before the House marijuana posesssion of less than 16 oz.

Boucher had said that Malloy had a "personal interest" in decriminalizing marijuana laws because the governor's son had been arrested for possession.
