Wilton Accepts Short Film And Vintage 1929 Fire Truck As Gifts To The Town

Wilton's Board of Selectmen approved acceptance of a new promotional film and a donated 1929 fire truck.

WILTON, CT — Wilton’s Board of Selectmen has voted to accept two gifts to the town: a professionally produced short film highlighting community life and a restored 1929 American LaFrance fire truck, town officials said.

The film, titled "Wilton, Where You Belong," was produced last summer by MediaVision Creative at no cost to taxpayers. According to the town, the video showcases aspects of life in Wilton and is intended to be shared with residents and others interested in the community.

In addition, the board approved the acceptance of a 1929 American LaFrance firetruck donated by Wilton resident Karl Dolnier. The antique vehicle will be housed at the Wilton Fire Department and is expected to be used for town events and celebrations in the future.
