The bridge work is expected to take approximately four to five months.

WILTON, CT — Utility work on New Canaan Road (Route 106) is set to begin on Monday, March 3, as Aquarion Water Company and Eversource, under the oversight of the Connecticut Department of Transportation, install new utility piping in the area. The project is scheduled to proceed weather permitting.

Work will begin at the bridge on the Wilton/New Canaan town line, which will be closed to traffic Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. The bridge work is expected to take approximately four to five months, according to a news release from the Town of Wilton.

A detour will be in place for vehicles traveling on Route 106 into New Canaan, redirecting traffic via Route 7 to Route 123 in Norwalk before returning to Route 106 in New Canaan. A map of the detour route is available online.
