DUI and Speeding Top Wilton Police Blotter Feb. 10 -16

WILTON, CT — Police charged a Stamford man early Tuesday morning on charges with driving under the influence after officers stopped his vehicle for speeding, authorities said.
Alejandro PicoDevia, 31, was pulled over at approximately 1:57 a.m. on Danbury Road after officers observed his blue Toyota Corolla traveling at a high rate of speed, according to a statement from the Wilton Police Department.
During the stop, officers noted that PicoDevia appeared intoxicated, police said. He admitted to consuming alcohol before driving and subsequently failed a series of standardized field sobriety tests, authorities added.

PicoDevia was taken into custody and submitted to chemical testing, which revealed blood alcohol levels of 0.1001 and 0.0974, both above the legal limit of 0.08, officials said.
He was charged with driving under the influence and speeding, police said. He was released after posting 7 percent of his $300 bond and is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on Feb. 25.
