As Local Temps Plummet, Wilton Opens Warming Center
The Town of Wilton will open its Warming Center at Comstock in anticipation of particularly cold weather.
WILTON, CT — The Town of Wilton will open its Warming Center at Comstock, 180 School Road, through Friday, Jan. 10, in anticipation of particularly cold weather.
Hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, and 8 a.m. to noon on Thursday, coinciding with the state's cold weather protocol activated by Gov. Ned Lamont on Monday.
High temperatures during this period are forecast to be in the mid to upper twenties, and overnight lows are expected to be in the single digits and teens. Winds are expected to be out of the northwest at 10 to 15 miles per hour with gusts potentially reaching 40 miles per hour.

Visitors should check with the front desk at Comstock to ascertain what area will be set up for the Warming Center.
