Midnight Car Burglaries Continue

Five homes, seven vehicles hit on Sunday.

 Five calls reporting vehicular burglaries were placed to the Wilton Police Department between Sunday evening and Monday morning, according to police.

 Residences hit were two homes on Thayer Pond Road, two homes on Wild Duck Road, and one home on Wood’s End Drive. In total, seven vehicles, three of which were in a single driveway, were illegally entered.

 Residents said that they had left their vehicles unlocked in their own driveways. Locked cars were not broken into.

 Reported items stolen were two video games, a change purse with loose change inside, a GPS, a pair of leather shoes, an iPod, and a glucose meter, police said.

 Police are advising residents to keep their vehicles locked in their driveways.

 The crimes mirror of eleven vehicular break-ins, all of which happened in seven residences in the same general vicinity as this week’s robberies. Police believe the incidents are related.

 Police are investigating the incident.
