New Ice Cream Parlor Coming to Wilton

WILTON, CT — A new ice cream shop is making it's way to Wilton and plans to be open this summer. Gofer Ice Cream LLC. will be opening it's fifth location in Wilton this summer after receiving town approval Monday night, according a press release from Founder and President Jay Ragusa.

The new location will be owned by Franchisee Jordan Savitt, who also owns the Gofer Ice Cream in Darien. To sign up for Wilton breaking news alerts and more, click here.

“We are excited to grow the company and the Gofer Ice Cream family by welcoming a new owner operator in Mr. Savitt.” Commented Jay Ragusa, Founder and President of Gofer Ice Cream LLC. “This is a milestone for our company in that we now have independent franchisees. We look forward to awarding additional franchises in the Fairfield County area and helping other people open and operate this now proven concept. We intend to establish eight to ten locations in Connecticut.”

The store will be located at 379 Danbury Road in the same building that houses the Wilton deli. Gofer Ice Cream serves "premium hand dipped and soft serve ice cream" as well as other products.
