Police Investigating Burglary in Wilton
A burglar broke into a home through a window on July 17.

WILTON, CT — Costume jewelry was taken from a woman's dresser during a burglary on July 17, according to Wilton Police. The department is investigating after a man called police to say his Belden Hill Road home had been broken into between 7:15 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. that day.
The man told police he noticed his master bedroom closet light was on and two drawers of his wife's dresser were opened with jewelry boxes on the floor. Some of the jewelry was taken and some of it untouched.
Police found that the burglar entered the home through a dining room window that was left open. The burglar had removed a window screen to enter the home.
