Monday, May 30
DUIS

- Police observed a car swaying over the divider lines in the southbound lane of Route 7, police said. Police pulled the car over and administered a sobriety test to the operator of the vehicle, Heidi Miedema, 28, of Newtown was found to be intoxicated, police said. She was charged with failure to drive right and driving under the influence.
- Police observed a vehicle driving north on Ridgefield Road on what appeared to be a flat tire; police said that the rim of one of its wheels appeared to have been recently damaged. Police said the vehicle swerved and was pulled over. Police then talked to the operator, Alexander Balitsos, 20, of Wilton, and police said they smelled alcohol. Balitsos was administered a sobriety test and failed it, according to the report. He was charged with DUI under 21, DUI and failure to drive in the proper lane.

Simple Trespassing
- Two young women were found trespassing near the reservoir on Huckleberry Road. The two girls, Juliana Ozzano, 20 of Darien, and a 17-year-old female of New Canaan, were allegedly sunbathing. They were issued a fine for $92.
No driving on the Soccer Field
- Police charged a 21-year-old Wilton man with third-degree criminal mischief after he was observed driving on the grass of the Kristine Lilly soccer field at Wilton High School. The man, Jack C. Walsh, given a promise to appear in court.
Sunday, May 29
Route 7 Fender Bender
- Three cars were involved in an accident on Route 7 when one vehicle failed to stop in time for a line of traffic. A vehicle crashed into the rear of one stopped car and pushed it into the bumper of a third stationary vehicle, police said. The driver of the allegedly-offending vehicle was identified as Kelly Baird, 18, of Wilton, was charged with following too close. One other person in the accident, a 36-year-old Stamford man, went to the hospital with complaints of a sore neck, police said.
Saturday, May 28
DUI
- Police responded to a complaint of a vehicle driving erratically on Route 7. The police report states that the complaint “led to the arrest” of Juan Ramirez, 26, of Norwalk. He was charged with DUI of alcohol or drugs, drinking while driving, failure to wear a seatbelt, and failure to have “lights lit.” Ramirez was released on a promise to appear in court.
