Police: 'Not Likely' More Arrests Will Be Made in Parisot Case

While the Nick Parisot case remains open, Deputy Chief Robert Crosby said Tuesday it's "not likely we'll make more arrests."

Crosby said the department is still investigating the 2008 death of the 13-year-old Parisot, who was killed when he struck a rope tied across two trees blocking a dirt path where he was riding his dirt bike in the woods behind his grandmother's house. He died of neck trauma. 

In August, a juvenile from Placentia, Calif. was arrested in connection to Parisot's death. Last month, the youth, now 17-years-old, was extradited from California to Connecticut to answer manslaughter charges. 

At a press conference following the juvenile's arrest, Police Chief Michael Lombardo said the Parisot case was "still very active." He then said the department interviewed about 100 people and 99 percent of them were cooperative. 

The arrested youth appeared at his arraignment in court on Sept. 20. Because of his age, police nor the courts can release further information.
