Today in Wilton: Fun in the Sun, Farmer's Market

Here's what to know and where to go in and around Wilton for Wednesday, Aug. 21st, 2013:

• The National Weather Services has forecasted another beautiful day: Sunny, high of 88º with patchy fog before 10am. Calm wind becoming southwest 5 to 8 mph in the afternoon.

• Fun in the Sun. Register now for the Wilton Family YMCA's outdoor "Fun in the Sun" program of games, splash pool/pond, crafts, nature activities and more for children ages 3 1/2 to 5 who are potty trained. August 27-29, and September 3, 4 and 6 (not running 9/5) from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm. The fee for Full Members is $50 per day. • Hit the weekly farmer's market outside the Wilton Historical Society at 224 Danbury Road, between 12:30–5:00pm. Vendors include Ambler Farm. Everything Ambler Farm sells at the market is 100% organic and fresh picked the same day.

• Back to school countdown: There are just 5 days remain until school resumes on August 26th, according to the Wilton Public Schools calendar for 2013-14.
