Wilton Police Arrest Log Highlights For Dec. 23-29

WILTON, CT — Dangerous dogs and a speeding Tesla were at the top of the Wilton Police Department's blotter last week.

On Dec. 23 at around 10:30 a.m., s Erasmo Farinas, 52, of Belden Hill Road, Wilton CT was arrested on an active warrant for his arrest. This arrest warrant was issued after it was alleged Farina's dog(s) attacked/injured a known victim within the town of Wilton. Farinas was charged with the following violations of C.G.S:

On Dec. 23 at around 10:30 a.m., Wilton police executed a warrant for the arrest of Erasmo Farinas, 52, of Belden Hill Road, Wilton. The warrant alleged Farina's dog(s) attacked/injured someone within the town of Wilton.

Farinas was charged with two counts of possession of vicious/barking dog, two counts of allowing a vicious/barking dog to roam, two counts of failing to comply with dog ownership requirements, and one count of failing to vaccinate his dog against rabies.

The dog owner posted 7 percent of his $10,000 bond, and is set to appear in Stamford Superior Court on Jan 3.

On Dec. 28 at around 2:40 a.m., police pulled over a Tesla Model Y they say was speeding northbound on Danbury Road. The driver, Leticia Duarte Goncalves, 24, of Spruce Mountain Road in Danbury, appeared to be under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, according to the police report.

Goncalves failed to perform the standardized field sobriety tests to standard, was arrested, and submitted to chemical testing. The results indicated blood alcohol levels of 0.1289 and 0.1306 consecutively. In Connecticut, the legal blood alcohol content limit for driving is 0.08 percent for those 21 and older.

Police charged Goncalves with DUI and speeding. The motorist paid 7 percent of her $300 bond and is scheduled to appear at the Stamford Superior Court on Jan. 10.
