Wilton Resident Chased Alleged Car Thief Into Woods: Police
Police say the vehicle was recovered after it was involved in a crash last week.

WILTON, CT — An SUV stolen from a home on Bob White Lane was recovered after it crashed in Waterbury on April 29, reports the Norwalk Hour. The report indicates the 2008 BMW X5 at around 1:30 a.m. after it had apparently been involved in a collision.
Wilton Police say they responded to a Bob White Lane home on April 14 for a report of a suspicious person walking around the property. Police say the homeowner chased the suspect into the woods, and police canvassed the area and were unable to find the suspect.
The homeowner woke up the next day and noticed that his car had been stolen. Police say he left the car unlocked and with the keys inside, and officers say it is presumed the car was taken by the suspicious person.
