Wilton Woman Tried to Hide Cocaine Stash After DUI Arrest: Police

The woman was arrested after her 2017 Audi A4 nearly struck a patrol car, according to Wilton Police.

WILTON, CT — A Danbury Road woman was arrested on drunk driving and drug charges after was accused of nearly striking a police car on Danbury Road late Sunday night, according to Wilton Police. Police say they stopped a 2017 Audi A4 driven by Katherine Leek, 56, after she was seen committing multiple traffic violations and nearly rear-ending a police car on Danbury Road near Pimpewaug Road. Leek later failed field sobriety tests and her blood alcohol content was revealed to be 0.249, more than three times the legal limit of .08, according to police.

She was arrested and transported to police headquarters, where she was seen trying to conceal an object after she was removed from her handcuffs, police say. Leek was charged with driving under the influence, possession of narcotics (cocaine), failure to maintain lane and changing lanes without a signal. She was released on a $500 bond and is due in Norwalk Superior Court on May 11.
