Wilton's Annual Town Meeting 2017: Voter's Guide
Amid statewide fiscal uncertainty, residents will come together to vote Tuesday and Saturday on budgets and other ballot questions.

WILTON, CT — Residents will come together Tuesday for the Annual Town Meeting at Wilton High School's Clune Center in what First Selectwoman Lynne Vanderslice says should be a "interesting" town meeting. Town meeting begins Tuesday, May 2, at 7:30 p.m sharp.
Here's a quick breakdown of what you can expect.
What is going on?
If you've never been to Town Meeting before, the week will include the town meeting on Tuesday Night and an adjourned vote on Saturday. Residents will discuss the ballot questions, and voting will take place immediately following the meeting.

There will also be an adjourned vote from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday for those who cannot make the Tuesday meeting.

There are eight questions on this year's ballot.

- Proposed Budget and Mill Rate: The town's operating budget of $126.8 million and a mill rate of 27.7685
- Five year road restoration project: This will allow for funding to pave roads at more frequent rate over the next five years
- Planning, study, conceptual plan and other for Police Station Renovation/Expansion: This will allow for the funds to plan for a new or renovated police station.
- Replacement of Wilton High School Tennis Courts
- Board of Education District Wide Roof Improvements: Approval will allow for roof replacements at Cider Mill, Middlebrook and Wilton High Schools as needed.
- Middlebrook School Elevator Replacement
- New Ordinance for the Sale of Alcoholic Liquor in Restaurants
