In between the chances for showers and storms the sun will appear at times. We'll let you know what to expect this weekend.

It’s not going to be a complete washout and the sun will be present at times this weekend, but it appears that if you have outdoor plans, Sunday is the best of the two days.
Actually, if you’re not working today, then Friday is the best weather day by far. There will be plenty of sun on Friday and only a slight chance of an isolated storm.

Saturday’s forecast seems to be the dreariest as there is a chance for some showers and storms throughout the day and evening hours, and the chance for rain and storms lessens somewhat on Sunday.

Friday: Slight chance of showers and thunderstorms between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. this afternoon. Mostly sunny skies and temps in the low 80s.
Friday night: 50 percent chance of an isolated shower and or thunderstorm.
Saturday: Another 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms all day with highs around 74 degrees only. There will be a light wind throughout the day too.
Saturday night: Another 50 percent chance of showers and storms.
Sunday: A 30-40 percent chance of some showers in the late morning and early afternoon but it may even end up partly sunny in southern Connecticut in the afternoon. In Hartford and Tolland counties it will likely remain mostly cloudy.
Monday: The sunshine returns and around a high of 80 degrees.
