1 Dead In Single-Car Crash In Windsor Overnight: Police
The man was pronounced dead at the scene after his vehicle hit a utility pole on Day Hill Road early Friday morning, Windsor police said.

WINDSOR, CT — One person was killed after his car hit a utility pole in Windsor overnight Friday, Windsor police said.
The crash took place at 600 Day Hill Road, and emergency medical personnel responded at 2:01 a.m. Police haven't released the victim's name, but Capt. Andrew Power told the Hartford Courant he was a 28-year-old man.
The driver was unresponsive when police arrived. Though officers and emergency personnel got him out of the car and tried life-saving measures for several minutes, he was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Officers said he was the only person in the vehicle, and said his family is being notified of his death.
The North Central Motor Vehicle Accident Reconstruction Squad responded to the scene, and vehicles traveling east on Day Hill Road were temporarily detoured at Baker Hollow Road during its investigation.

Eversource and the Medical Examiner's Office responded as well, police said.
