2 Killed In Wrong-Way Crash On I-91 In Windsor

A man and woman from Massachusetts sustained fatal injuries after colliding with a tractor trailer truck early Friday morning.

WINDSOR, CT — A Nissan Altima traveling southbound on the northbound side of Interstate 91 in Windsor collided head-on with a tractor trailer truck early Friday, resulting in the deaths of a Massachusetts man and woman in the car, state police said.

Around 12:34 a.m., the Nissan, operated by Dominique Loiselle, 25, of Brighton, was heading in the wrong direction in the center lane of I-91, south of Exit 38, when it struck a tractor trailer owned by Barlow Truck Lines of Missouri, police said.

Loiselle and a passenger, James Bowen, 25, of East Longmeadow, were both pronounced dead at the scene. The truck driver, a 35-year-old man from Florida, was taken to Hartford Hospital for treatment of minor injuries, police said.

The crash remains under investigation, and any witnesses are asked to contact Trooper Michael Dean at Troop H at 860-534-1098, or through email at michael.dean@ct.gov. Anyone with a vehicle equipped with a dashcam who was driving through the area at the time of the

collision is also asked to contact Trooper Dean.
