2 Men Caught Swiping I-91 Highway Sign In Windsor: State Police
The suspects face larceny and other charges, according to police.

WINDSOR, CT — Two Vernon men are accused of trying to steal highway road signage on I-91 northbound.
State police said troopers were dispatched Wednesday around 8:29 a.m. for a report of a larceny in progress of state Department of Transportation exit signs.
The suspects were stealing the signage in the vicinity of Exit 37 in Windsor, according to police.

Police arrested Jonathan Riopelle, 46, of 101 South St., Vernon, and Andrew Lampkin, 42, homeless, of Vernon.
Each was charged with third-degree larceny, reckless use of highway by a pedestrian, and improper parking on a highway.

Both men are free after posting a $500 bond, and they are due to appear in Superior Court in Hartford on Nov. 21.
