Banasiak, Nash: Recent Death Notices From Windsor

Condolences are extended to the families and friends of those who have recently died.

WINDSOR, CT — Here are some recent death notices from Windsor.

Edward Banasiak, 69, longtime resident of Windsor Locks and forever connected to his beloved community of Windsor, passed away suddenly, unexpectedly and entirely too soon on May 2, 2025 due to complications of heart disease. He lived in Windsor until he married his soul mate, Debbie Andrews, in 1982. They settled in neighboring Windsor Locks after a love story for the books. He selflessly served his hometown as a Windsor police officer for 32 years. He was a recognized forensic expert, always willing to lend a hand to another department in need. He completed the FBI National Academy, and once trekked up to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Ontario to assist on a complex case.

Michael Nash, 68, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2025. A native of Jamaica, he migrated to Connecticut in 1972 to join his mother, who was living in Hartford. He graduated from Weaver High School and was a gymnast, with his specialty being the vault. After high school, Michael worked for several companies before accepting a position with Standard Mattress/Gold Bond, retiring as the head of Garnett and Cotton production, after 40 years of service. He was a meticulous dresser and always made sure his clothes were pressed, whether they were his work clothes or his dress clothes, and his shoes were perfectly polished.
