Beloved Windsor Town Hall Employee Passes Away After Illness

She was known for her bright smile and welcoming personality, the town said.

WINDSOR, CT — The Windsor community is mourning the loss of longtime Town Hall employee Wendy James, who passed away last week after an extended illness.

James joined the Windsor Tax Office in 2016 as a tax clerk, and her "kindness, patience, and warmth made a lasting impact on everyone she met." According to a post on the town’s social media page, she was known for her bright smile, welcoming personality, and a laugh that echoed through Town Hall.

Outside of work, James devoted herself to her son, Lincoln, proudly supporting him in school and on the basketball court. She was also active in her church and throughout the Windsor community, the town added.
