WINDSOR, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire. More great feats will be noted as they are received in the coming weeks.

Cedarville University, Cedarville OH

  • Emily Kijak and Nathaniel Yount, both of Windsor, were named to the Dean's Honor List for the spring 2025 semester. This recognition requires the student to obtain a 3.75 GPA or higher for the semester and carry a minimum of 12 credit hours.

Clarkson University, Potsdam NY

  • Michael Evan Sponzo of Windsor, a sophomore majoring in global supply chain management, was named to the Dean's List for the spring 2025 semester at Clarkson University. Dean's List students must achieve a minimum 3.25 grade-point average and also carry at least 14 credit hours.

College of the Holy Cross, Worcester MA

  • Rachel Smith of Windsor received a bachelor of arts degree Magna Cum Laude from College of the Holy Cross at its 179th commencement on Friday, May 23 at the DCU Center in Worcester.

Olivet Nazarene University, Bourbonnais IL

  • Ainsley Sasportas of Windsor was named to the dean's list at Olivet Nazarene University during the recently completed spring 2025 semester. To qualify for inclusion on the dean's list, a student must have been enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student and must have attained a semester grade point average of 3.50 or higher on a 4.00 grading scale.

Southern New Hampshire University, Manchester NH

  • Fatima Nizami and Celine Gonzalez, both of Windsor, were named to the spring 2025 President's List. The spring terms run from January to May. Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.700 and above for the reporting term are named to the President's List. Full-time status is achieved by earning 12 credits over each 16-week term or paired 8-week terms grouped in fall, winter/spring, and summer.
