WINDSOR, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire. More great feats will be noted as they are received in the coming weeks.

Salve Regina University, Newport RI

  • Salve Regina President Dr. Kelli J. Armstrong recently conferred 508 bachelor's degrees, 206 master's degrees, 18 doctoral degrees and 11 doctor of nursing practice degrees upon the Class of 2025. Alicia McDonald of Windsor was awarded a B.S. nursing degree, Brenden Bellinger of Windsor was awarded an MBA degree, and Marcelino La Bella of Windsor was awarded an MBA degree.

  • Springfield College has named three students from Windsor to the 2025 spring Dean's List. Those students and their majors are Elaina Brathwaite, psychology; Alexus Campbell, social work; and Taylor Falotico, exercise science / applied ES. The criteria for selection to the Dean's List are as follows: The student must have completed a minimum of 12 credit hours of graded coursework for the term, exclusive of "P" grades. The student must not have any incompletes or missing grades in the designated term. The student must have a minimum semester grade average of 3.500 for the term. Student must not have been barred from Dean's List due to disciplinary action.

University of Rhode Island, Kingston RI

  • Cailynn Danneman, Juliana Hargrove, Tristan Harrison, Gray Jeffery, Hope McCann and Paige Shufelt, all of Windsor, were named to the spring 2025 Dean's List. To be included on the Dean's List, full-time students must have completed 12 or more credits for letter grades which are GPA applicable during a semester and achieved at least a 3.30 quality point average.
