Evelyn H. DeCarish, 90, a retired Department of Revenue Services employee who worked 26 years and enjoyed sewing, baking, shopping, playing cards, and traveling on bus trips with her sisters, died Oct. 2, 2025.

Herbert O. Lau, 92, a U.S. Marine veteran of the Korean War and longtime engineer at Combustion Engineering who enjoyed volunteering, tutoring, driving others to medical appointments, and baking chocolate chip cookies, died Oct. 2, 2025.

Robert W. Chicoler, 92, a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War who later worked in commercial kitchen design and spent retirement driving for Bill Selig Ford, while enjoying fishing, boating, singing in his church choir, and following the Red Sox and Patriots, died Sept. 30, 2025.

Padraic “Pat” Pearse Kennedy, 69, a longtime sales manager at Kaman Corporation and devoted community volunteer active in parish and civic organizations, died Sept. 23, 2025.

Sylvia A. (Dudley) Smith, 88, a retired Aetna Life Insurance employee with 29 years of service who volunteered at the Windsor Senior Center and enjoyed square dancing, bowling, camping, reading, puzzles, and casino trips, died Sept. 19, 2025.

Jayni Traquan Dejon “Quanny” Powell, 28, a truck operator with Ceva Logistics who was passionate about entrepreneurship, mentoring others, and spending time with family, died Sept. 19, 2025.
